Due to construction work at the intersection of Neue Bäue, Diezstraße and Trillergäßchen, both sides of Neue Bäue will be closed from Tuesday, 10 November to Wednesday, 11 November. The full closure will begin on Tuesday evening at 20:00 and is expected to end with the start of operations on Wednesday. During this time, city buses will also not be able to pass through the market square.

The stops at Marktplatz, Oswaldsgarten, City Center, Katharinengasse and Stadttheater will be cancelled. All lines that cross the Marktplatz will be diverted via the Anlagenring. The Johanneskirche, Bahnhofstraße and Mühlstraße stops will be available to passengers as alternative stops. Stadtwerke Gießen is asking passengers wishing to start from Marktplatz to use the Johanneskirche, Behördenzentrum, Stadttheater or Berliner Platz stops, depending on the line. As a replacement for the Oswaldsgarten stop, the city buses will stop at the Mühlstraße stop in the Westanlage.

During the full closure, route 24 will run in the direction of the railway station via the Mühlstraße and Selterstor stops. In the opposite direction, the buses will stop at Bahnhofstraße and Mühlstraße.

For more information, passengers can call 0641 708-1234 or visit the mobility centre in the infoZentrum on Marktplatz. The mobility centre is open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm. Passengers can also find all changes on the Internet at http://www.stadtwerke-giessen.de/?id=413. Stadtwerke asks its passengers for their understanding.
