Jens Schmidt, the Commercial Director of Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG), is leaving the company at his own request. He informed the Supervisory Board of his decision not to extend his expiring contract and therefore not to take up a third term of office at the meeting on 13 March. After ten years at the helm of SWG, he will return to his home region to take on a new challenge. It goes without saying that Jens Schmidt will continue to fulfil the task assigned to him by the city of Giessen with his usual diligence until the end of his contract.
The Technical Director of SWG, Matthias Funk, and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Alexander Wright, would like to thank Jens Schmidt for the good cooperation, the fair treatment of the employees and the Supervisory Board and wish him continued success.
