Due to repair work on the SWG gas pipeline network, Grünberger Straße will be partially closed on Friday 26 November from 7.30 pm until around 11.30 am the following day. This will affect the carriageway out of town between Licher Kreuz and Wolfstraße. In the direction of Ludwigsplatz and Berliner Platz, however, traffic will flow as usual.

The temporary closure of Grünberger Straße will result in the following diversion: From Ludwigsplatz and Moltkestraße, traffic travelling out of town from Licher Kreuz will be routed via Licher Straße and Georg-Philipp-Gail-Straße into Grünberger Straße. The straight ahead lane in Grünberger Straße and the left turn lane in Moltkestraße are not available on the approach to Licher Kreuz out of town.

Diversion of local transport
SWG bus route 1 in the direction of Rödgen and VGO route 110 from Giessen to Buseck, Reiskirchen and Grünberg are also affected by the diversion. The construction work also has consequences for the VGO line 600 from Giessen to Annerod, Burkhardsfelden and Ettingshausen. These lines run out of town from Licher Kreuz via Licher Straße and Georg-Philipp-Gail-Straße to Grünberger Straße. The "Wolfstraße" stop will therefore be cancelled. Alternatively, the buses will stop at the "Nahrungsberg" stop in Licher Straße.
