A two-day test ride on the innovative electric scooter from unu was the prize given away by Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) at its stand in front of the Ringallee outdoor pool at the beginning of September. Last Friday, the winner took his first ride around the SWG premises.
The innovative "unu" electric scooter has 2000 watts of power. This guarantees pure riding fun - also for Stephan Stingl from Giessen on 24 and 25 September. He won a two-day test ride on the silent speedster in the prize draw organised by Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) in front of the Ringallee outdoor pool at the beginning of September. When the prize was presented last Friday, he was delighted to test the modern form of mobility and took the first laps with the virtually silent vehicle in the courtyard of the SWG main building.
"More and more people are opting for a climate-friendly vehicle like this to get from A to B. This is a trend that we are supporting with our prize draw and, since mid-2016, with the attractive DrivE offer," explained Ulli Boos, Head of Marketing at Stadtwerke, during the prize presentation.
Giessen green electricity - at home and in the scooter
DrivE combines a special electricity tariff with favourable conditions when purchasing an electric scooter from unu. With this tariff, customers receive exclusively nuclear-free green electricity from Giessen in their own four walls. SWG generates around 40 per cent directly in the region using combined heat and power generation. The rest comes from certified hydropower plants.
Ulli Boos summarised what else they benefit from: "For the duration of the two-year contract term, buyers of an electric scooter pay just 91.63 euros per month to unu's financing partner and zero percent interest. There are no further costs for the scooter, a lithium-ion battery is included, as is a helmet worth 99 euros and even special colours for the fairing and seat can be chosen free of charge."
The battery can be charged at any household socket within five to six hours to cover up to 50 kilometres. Riders can charge their electric two-wheeler at one of SWG's three charging stations in the city - in Pohlheim, in Lahnstraße Giessen and in front of the Ringallee swimming centre.
All information about the DriveE offer is available online at www.stadtwerke-giessen.de/DrivE, at the SWG customer centre on Marktplatz or by calling the service number 0800 23 02 100 (free of charge from a German landline and all German mobile networks).
