City festival - RUN 'n ROLL for HELP

Visitors to the Giessen City Festival who want to travel home safely can benefit from the additional bus service provided by Stadtwerke Giessen AG (SWG). The city buses will be in operation from Friday to Saturday and from Saturday to Sunday until the end of the city festival - until 01:00. The buses will run according to the regular timetable until around 23:30.

Additional journeys
On Friday and Saturday, all SWG city buses will also depart from the Marktplatz bus stop at 00:30 and 01:00. Line 800 will run to Weststadt. For passengers travelling on line 24 (Heuchelheim/Wetzlar), buses will also depart from the Marktplatz stop at 00:30 and 01:20 in the direction of Heuchelheim/Kinzenbach.

Regular taxi service
As in previous years, the regular taxi service will be travelling in the direction of Sandfeld and Petersweiher.

RUN 'n ROLL for HELP
Due to the Giessen city run, the stops Landgericht and Behördenzentrum in the direction of the train station will be cancelled on Sunday from 11:00 to approx. 20:00. Line 5 will take a diversion in the direction of the railway station via Moltkestraße, Grünberger Straße to Berliner Platz. The Berliner Platz stop will be used as a replacement for the Behördenzentrum stop. During this time, route 12 will be diverted via Nordanlage, Oswaldsgarten and Marktplatz. Buses on routes 5 and 12 travelling in the direction of Wieseck or Sandfeldschule will not be diverted.

Further information
The usual fare regulations and conditions of carriage apply to all journeys. If you want to travel on the city buses at the weekend, you should use the group day ticket. It is valid for a maximum of five people and costs 5.20 euros, a single journey for adults costs 1.35 euros. Passengers can obtain further information by calling 0641 708-1400 and -1260 or at the Mobility Centre in the infoCentre on Marktplatz. The mobility centre is open Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 09:00 to 14:00.
