This coming weekend, the city buses on lines 2, 5 and 24 of Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) will take a diversion in the Liebigstraße area. Due to an event, Liebigstraße will be closed from Bahnhofstraße in the direction of Frankfurter Straße from around 8 pm on Saturday evening and throughout Sunday. All buses travelling in the direction of the station will follow the usual route. The diversion will also affect all regional lines that transport passengers from the railway station to the surrounding area of Giessen.
Diversion route for city buses
The Liebigstraße and Bahnhofstraße stops are not available for city bus lines 2, 5 and 24.
City buses on route 2 will travel in the direction of Eichendorffring from the Bahnhof stop via Bahnhofstraße and Westanlage to the Oswaldsgarten stop. City bus route 5 will be diverted in the direction of Wieseck from the Bahnhof stop via Bahnhofstraße and Westanlage to the Katharinengasse stop. Line 24 will also run in the direction of Heuchelheim/Wetzlar from the Bahnhof stop via Bahnhofstraße, Westanlage and Südanlage to the Johanneskirche stop.
All buses travelling in the direction of the railway station will follow the usual route.
