From Monday 17 January, the outbound lane on Licher Straße between Nahrungsberg and Lutherberg will be relocated. Traffic travelling out of town will then be able to use the lane leading into town, which has already been renewed, during the rest of the construction phase. The construction work in this section is expected to last until the middle of the year. From the start of operations next Monday, buses on route 801 and emergency vehicles travelling to and from Ostschule will take an alternative route: from Berliner Platz in the direction of Ostschule and Pistorstraße, they will use the Ludwigsplatz, Gutenbergstraße, Nahrungsberg, Alfred-Bock-Straße and Alter Steinbacher Weg diversions. In the opposite direction, the route leads via Gartenstraße to Berliner Platz. Buses on routes 2 and 801 will not be travelling to the Nahrungsberg stop for the next six months. The replacement stop at Wolfstraße will also not be served by route 801. Passengers are requested to use the Berliner Platz stop.
The Saturn night bus route is also affected by the change to the roadworks. From the Ostschule stop in the direction of Eichendorfring, it will switch to the route Alter Steinbacher Weg, Alfred-Bock-Straße, Nahrungsberg, Gutenbergstraße, Grünberger Straße, Licher Straße. The regular stops will be served.
