By bus to the Wäldchesfest

Once again this year, Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) is offering additional bus trips to the Schiffenberg for the Fifties Association's Wäldchesfest.

The traditional Wäldchesfest of the Fifties Association will take place on Sunday 17 September. To mark the festivities on the Schiffenberg, SWG has once again extended the timetable for route 6 this year. "Additional buses will run between the Berliner Platz and Schiffenberg stops for all visitors who want to come from Giessen city centre by public transport," explains Anne Müller-Kreutz, Head of Local Transport Services at SWG. "From 10.21 a.m. and until 11.51 a.m., line 6 runs every 30 minutes." In the midday and afternoon hours, the regular timetable applies for buses on route 6. The last journey in the direction of Schiffenberg starts at 5.51 pm at the Berliner Platz stop. Last return journey from Schiffenberg in the direction of the city centre: 18.06 hrs.
