Stadtwerke Gießen is once again organising additional journeys on Line 6.

On 4 June 2023, the Giessen fifties associations are once again inviting people to the traditional Wäldchesfest on the Schiffenberg. The organisers are expecting a large number of visitors. Consequently, Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) will once again be running additional buses between the "Berliner Platz" and "Schiffenberg" stops this year. "With our additional service, we are making it possible for even more guests to get to the Wäldchesfest quickly and conveniently from the city centre," explains Anne Müller-Kreutz, Head of Local Transport Services at SWG.

Experience has shown that many people are drawn to the festivities in the morning. That's why SWG is already offering journeys to the Schiffenberg from 9.51 am - every 30 minutes until 11.51 am. From then on, buses on route 6 will once again run at regular hourly intervals from the Behördenzentrum bus stop on platform 4. The last bus to Schiffenberg will depart from the Behördenzentrum bus stop at 5.51 p.m. The last bus back to the city centre from Schiffenberg will depart at 6.06 p.m., as planned in the timetable.

Stadtwerke Gießen publishes up-to-date information at www.swg-verkehr.de under the heading "Aktuelle Verkehrshinweise". Of course, the staff at the RMV mobility centre in the SWG customer centre on Marktplatz will also be happy to help from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm. SWG is of course also available to answer questions by telephone on 0641 708-1400 or by e-mail at mobizentrale@stadtwerke-giessen.de.
