Extended validity of the RMV Hessenticket on the first weekend of Hessentag

This year, the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV) is celebrating its 15th anniversary. Reason enough to extend the validity of the Hessenticket on the occasion of the RMV's birthday in May and the simultaneous start of the Hessentag 2010 in Stadtallendorf. Here's how it works: A Hessenticket purchased on Friday 28 or Saturday 29 May remains valid up to and including Sunday 30 May 2010. Depending on the date of purchase, the original validity is extended by one or two days. For up to five people, this means full mobility throughout Hesse for a whole weekend at a price of just 31 euros. The ticket is valid from 9 a.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays all day until closing time and allows any number of journeys in Hesse during the period of validity, both in the Rhine-Main transport network and in the North Hesse transport network. An ideal way to travel to the Hessentag by bus and train, but of course also to other destinations. Both the extended and the normal Hessenticket for inexpensive group travel at weekends and on public holidays are available at all Stadtwerke Gießen sales outlets as well as at ticket machines and on RMV buses.

As usual, questions about tickets and fares can be answered by the staff at the mobility centre in the SWG infoCentre on Marktplatz in Giessen. Opening hours: Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Information by telephone on 0641 708-1400.
