Two full closures mean that bus routes 1 and 6 have to switch to alternative routes.
Due to major construction work, there will be a full closure on Hüttenbergstraße in Allendorf. Bus route 1 will therefore have to take a diversion from Monday 14 October 2024 (start of service) up to and including Friday 25 October 2024 (end of service). Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) has set up a replacement stop in Bergstraße for the "Triebstraße" stop in Allendorf. The "Mehrzweckhalle" and "Kleebergschule" stops cannot be served during this time. The same applies to the stops "Schwimmbad", "Kirche", "Taunusstraße", "Langer Strich" and "Rechtenbacher Hohl" in Lützellinden.
In connection with the diversion, SWG would ask you to consider two details: Changed departure times apply at the "Lindenstraße" and "Kleebergstraße" stops in Lützellinden and buses will stop in both directions at the replacement stop "Triebstraße" in Bergstraße. It is therefore advisable to pay attention to the destination signs on the vehicles.
Bus route 6 is also unable to follow its usual route. This is because the carriageway of the L3131 has subsided in the Petersweiher area. Hessen Mobil is fundamentally renewing the damage between 8 and 26 October 2024, which will result in a full closure. For this reason, buses on route 6 will not be able to stop at the "Forsthaus" and "Schiffenberg" stops on the two Sundays affected, 13 and 20 October 2024. Alternatively, the bus stops "Siemensstraße" and "Philosophikum" (bus platform 2) in Rathenaustraße will be served.
