Due to tree felling work, bus route 1 will have to switch to a different route on the next two Saturdays.
Giessen. On Saturday, 15 February, and the following Saturday, 22 February, tree felling work will be carried out in Rödgener Straße between Rudolf-Diesel-Straße and Lufthansastraße. For this reason, Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) will have to reroute bus route 1 in both directions via Rudolf-Diesel-Straße, Zeppelinstraße, Stolzenmorgen and Lufthansastraße on these days. This alternative routing means that the "Sophie-Scholl-Schule" bus stop cannot be reached in either direction. As a replacement, the buses will serve the "Gefahrenabwehrzentrum" and "Stolzenmorgen" stops. In the direction of Rödgen, the "Rudolf-Diesel-Straße" stop will also have to be cancelled without replacement. SWG would therefore ask you to use the "Heyerweg" stop. The regulation applies on the Saturdays mentioned from the start of service until 8 pm.
