After completing their training in-house, Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) congratulated three trainees on passing their exams. The two electricians Christian Abert from Wettenberg and Mario Schultheiß from Saasen successfully passed their exams at the Guild for Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. Abert shortened the usual training period from 3 ½ years to 2 ½ years. Oliver Watola from Gießen-Allendorf, a trainee plant mechanic specialising in supply technology, passed his examination at the Gießen-Friedberg Chamber of Industry and Commerce after 3 ½ years.
The trainees learned the practical skills and some of the theoretical knowledge required for their training from the two technical instructors, Peter Zeizinger and Hagen Luh, at SWG's training centre. The three trainees attended vocational school at the Theodor Litt School in Giessen. Having passed their exams, Christian Abert and Mario Schultheiß are now newly qualified electricians and Oliver Watola is a plant mechanic.
In a small ceremony, SWG's Technical Director Reinhard Paul, Works Council Chairman Alfons Buchholz and Head of Department Frank Rompf congratulated the former trainees.
