Friends of classical music can once again look forward to four basilica concerts this year. They are part of the Musical Summer on the Schiffenberg and will take place on 27 May, 10 June, 24 June and 5 August. Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) is once again offering an additional service in 2018 to ensure that all those who want to get to the events, which start at 11:30 a.m., from Gießen city centre by bus: on the four concert Sundays, bus line 6 departs from the Berliner Platz stop to Schiffenberg at 10:51 a.m. and 11:51 a.m. respectively. It returns to the city centre at 11:06 and 12:06. From 12:51, line 6 then runs every 60 minutes from the Berliner Platz stop in the direction of Schiffenberg according to the timetable. From 13:06, there will be an hourly bus service from Schiffenberg back to the city centre.
