Stadtwerke Gießen and Tour der Hoffnung presented prizes

There were beaming faces at Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) on Wednesday evening. The reason for this was the 30,000 kilowatt hours of natural gas that were up for grabs in the SWG additional prize draw for the Tour of Hope raffle.

Gerhard Wißner (Marketing Service SWG) congratulated the three winners and, together with Petra Behle (patron of the Tour) and Gerhard Becker (Organising Director of the Tour), symbolically presented vouchers for the energy won.

Main prize stays in Giessen

The main prize, 15,000 kWh of natural gas, was won by Ralf Pausch from Giessen. Janis Keller from Pohlheim won 10,000 kWh of natural gas and thus the second prize. Heike Matz from Giessen was delighted with 5,000 kWh of natural gas.

The winners took part in the Tour of Hope prize draw. The Tour of Hope supports children with cancer and leukaemia with all proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets. Last year, the Tour of Hope celebrated its 25th anniversary and once again sold lots for a good cause. Those who, like the three winners, bought their tickets at SWG events or campaigns or at the infoCentre also took part in the additional raffle. Once again this year, committed cyclists from the worlds of sport, business, show business and politics will be pedalling hard and raising money for a good cause.

Tour 2009

This year's tour will take place from 12 to 16 August and will take the cyclists from Giessen via Siegen to Bochum.
