Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG) invites you to a special event on Thursday, 1 November at the New Cemetery in Gießen. For the second time, "Fairy Tales and Rituals" will be focussing on the major themes of life, death and saying goodbye. "Especially now in November, the transience of life is reflected in nature. With this event, we want to provide an empowering approach to what is a difficult topic for many people," explains Heiko Hederich, deputy director of the crematorium in Giessen.
As in the previous year, the event will be organised by the two speakers Silke Stoeckel, freelance grief speaker, coach and alternative practitioner for psychotherapy, and Christian K. Mayer Glauninger, professional storyteller and educator. The event starts at 6.30 pm in the farewell room of the crematorium in Giessen. Before the event, there will be an opportunity to take part in a guided tour of the crematorium from 17:00. A small snack and drinks will be provided. Instead of admission, the speakers ask for a donation of 10 to 20 euros.
As the number of participants is limited, the organisers ask that you register in writing or by telephone for both parts of the event.
