At the end of the 75 good deeds in Stadtwerke Giessen's anniversary year, all the sponsors met at the SWG headquarters and released 75 balloons into the sky over Giessen.

75 good deeds were on the programme at the start of Stadtwerke Gießen's (SWG) anniversary year. Now 2013 is slowly drawing to a close and all the good deeds have been completed - the last one on 6 December at the Giessen Children's Hospital.
On Saturday, 7 December, SWG board members Manfred Siekmann and Reinhard Paul and company spokeswoman Ina Weller met with the other sponsors for a festive closing event in the SWG administration building in Lahnstrasse. "We would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment and the excellent organisation of our '75 good deeds' anniversary campaign," said Manfred Siekmann. "The great commitment and numerous ideas of our employees made it possible to help 75 institutions, associations and organisations in the region," added Reinhard Paul. The two Management Board members were behind the 2013 highlight, the anniversary weekend with a charity concert in aid of the Tour of Hope. Stadtwerke rounded up the proceeds from ticket sales to 125,000 euros and handed them over to the organisers of the charity tour.

Anniversary year packed with highlights
Associations, social services, facilities for senior citizens, day-care centres, kindergartens and volunteer fire brigades throughout the region were among the recipients of the 75 good deeds. In 21 towns and municipalities, the 85 sponsors handed over donation cheques and lent a hand themselves, for example with renovation work or the construction of a fire demonstration container. In addition to the charity concert, the 75 good deeds included nine other highlights. SWG supported the children's hospital, the hospice association, the animal shelter and the food bank in Giessen, the district fire brigade association, the rescue service in Rabenau-Londorf, the association for home nursing and care for the elderly in Allendorf/Lumda, the youth work of all clubs in Lollar and the association for the promotion of basketball in Lich.
Finally, Ina Weller expressed special thanks on behalf of SWG to the representatives of Expoplan, Volker Weimer and his wife Christina, and the marketing agency sgc, represented by Managing Director Oliver Groh and employee Anna Schwarz, for their help in organising the anniversary year.
At the end of the event, all sponsors and guests gathered on the roof of the SWG main building. Symbolising each good deed, they released 75 red balloons into the sky above Giessen.
