Line 10 A is being diverted, delays are to be expected on lines 1, 5 and 7

This coming Friday and Saturday, the 24th Tour of Hesse will see a top international field of cycling elite roll across the roads of our region. Traffic disruptions are to be expected as a result. The city buses in Giessen operated by Stadtwerke Giessen AG (SWG) will also be affected: on Friday, 2 September 2005, the third stage of the cycling event will run from Lütter near Fulda to Giessen. For this reason, the stops Fachhochschule and Schwanenteich will not be served by line 10 A from around 10.00 a.m. until the end of the event. The diversion will take place from the Behördenzentrum stop via Moltkestraße to the Nahrungsberg stop in Licher Straße. In addition, the arrival of the field on Friday from approx. 15:00 to 17:00 may result in obstructions and possible cancellations of services on lines 1, 5 and 7. On Saturday, 3 September 2005, the fourth stage will lead from Gießen to Lollar. The start of the race is planned for 12:00 noon from the Messeplatz. For this reason, there may be brief disruptions on line 5 in the area of Wiesecker Weg/corner of Dürerstraße from approx. 12.00 noon to 12.30 p.m. Stadtwerke Gießen AG (SWG) asks its passengers for their understanding in the event of delays or cancellations.
