"Clear, direct and very easy to use." According to Ulli Boos, Head of Marketing at Stadtwerke Gießen (SWG), the SWG online service is characterised by these features. "All our customers can now manage their electricity, gas and heating contracts around the clock and from anywhere - so they always have full control," he adds.
In concrete terms, this means that meter readings can be transmitted, discounts adjusted, bills viewed or downloaded, bank details changed or contracts reviewed online in no time and with little effort. This saves private individuals a trip to the customer centre or a call to customer service. "Of course, these alternatives are still available to everyone. The SWG online service is an additional state-of-the-art option," explains Ulli Boos, adding: "We attach particular importance to customer data security. That's why we worked with an experienced service provider during development and put the system through its paces."
Registration with just a few clicks
Anyone who wants to use the service can register quickly via the access point on the SWG website. Enter the customer and meter number together with the desired user name and e-mail address and the system will generate a password. This is sent to the customer's personal e-mail inbox with a confirmation of registration. The password can then be changed. Ulli Boos points out: "At present, the SWG online service already offers a number of helpful functions. However, we are already planning to expand it step by step."
All further information and the link to register can be found on the Stadtwerke Gießen homepage.
